◎简　　介　
　　故事发生在一九五一年的德克萨斯州，老牛仔桑姆（本·约翰逊 Ben Johnson 饰）在此地经营着一家电影院，成为了当地年轻人们回忆里没法抹去的一笔亮色。高中生索尼（蒂姆斯·伯特姆斯 Timothy Bottoms 饰）和洽友裘安（杰夫·布里吉斯 Jeff Bridge s 饰）是电影院里的常客，和桑姆亦是很是投机的朋友。
　　索尼履历过几场无疾而终的恋爱，心灵深深遭到了震动，他和裘安同时爱上了热情奔放的女孩杰西（斯碧尔·谢波德 Cybill Shepherd 饰），但是杰西终极挑选了索尼，这令裘安感应非常悲伤，挑选了分开。桑姆归天的消息带给了索尼很大的冲击，在桑姆的电影院里，索尼和裘安一路看了最初一场电影，这亦是电影院所放映的最初一场电影。

　　本片是以年轻人的长大与开辟时代的精神相跟尾，寓意深远的黑白佳片。本片中的强班尼和李姬曼亦是以片而获得奥斯卡金像奖最好男女配角奖。影片中穿插着很多恋爱和偷情，没有波涛升沉的情节，只要一种情感经过黑白画面纵情衬着。本片中有多位明星初度崭露头角。导演曾尝试用续集《德州小镇》（Texasville，1990年）再现那种空气，但没有成功。
